Students who have not booked on campus meals can only eat on the ground, Education Bureau responds

According to a report by Guangdong TV today, a private school in Longgang, Shenzhen has been reported by a local newspaper& mdash; Hongyang School does not allow parents to bring meals to their children because they must order school meals before they can enter the school. Some parents have even argued with the school about this at the school gate. The reporter went to this Hongyang School and found that the food could be delivered in, but the students could not enter the classroom to eat and could only sit outside the classroom to eat

According to a report by Aoyi News, in response to this matter, the Education Bureau of Longgang District, Shenzhen, stated that on September 3, some citizens reported that Hongyang School (private) in Bantian Street, Longgang does not allow students who order meals outside the school to dine on campus. After receiving the report, the Longgang District Education Bureau attached great importance to it and immediately dispatched staff to investigate and understand the situation

After verification, some parents entrusted off campus catering companies to deliver or order takeout on their own. The school did not arrange centralized dining areas for these students based on food safety management considerations. Under the on-site supervision of the district education bureau, the school immediately rectified and arranged for all students to enter the classroom for lunch. At the same time, the district education bureau has interviewed the school organizers and principals, requesting proper arrangements for students' meals and effective communication and explanation with parents to avoid similar situations from happening again
